EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT

This section is useful for both parents and students of school learners who are looking for aff ordable learning institutions and merit-based financial support for pre-matric and post- matric education.

This section provides a detailed list of minority-run coaching academies, educational institutes and scholarship schemes available for pre-matric, post-matric, undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The institutes named under this section are usually boarding and coaching centres functioning as daytime schools for minority educational development. Fees for these institutes are usually minimal.

Numerous organizations including private sector undertakings and state banks support talentbased as well as merit-based students under their collaborative scholarship schemes. These scholarships cover the tuition fee for students whose annual family income maybe between 1 lakh to 2 lakh per annum or even less.

The details of these scholarships are available in state government website and can be accessed through a valid identity proof and established record of merit.

    SALIENT FEATURES

    The National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are autonomous public institutes of higher education, located in India. NITs offer degree courses at bachelors, masters, and doctorate levels in various branches of engineering, architecture, management and science. Admission to the under-graduate courses such as Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) and Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programs in NITs are through Joint Entrance Examination (Main). Admission to postgraduate courses are through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering for Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) programs, Common Admission Test for Master of Business Administration (MBA) program and NIMCET for Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program.

    2. Student must be a citizen of India and domicile of West Bengal.
    3. Students having AADHAAR linked bank account will get preference in directly crediting scholarship amount.
    4. One registration will be allowed with one active bank account number.
    5. Student should have obtained at least 50% marks in the LAST FINAL Examination.
    6. Applicants in receipt of scholarship benefit last year and having a permanent ID must apply under renewal category only.
    7. Students who are applying for the first time will have to submit application as FRESH candidate.
    8. One registration will be allowed with one mobile number.
    9. 30% of total Scholarship has been kept reserved for Girls students.
    10. Distance Education applicants are not eligible to apply.
    11. A student is eligible for scholarship from any one source only.
    12. No document is required to be uploaded.
