    This section is meant for students of Class 12 onwards who wish to enroll in short time, hands-on-training, professional courses in college to prepare them for dynamic job opportunities after shorter course duration.
    Professional courses
    This section provides an overview of professional courses that can be done in order to jumpstart job opportunities after higher secondary education. These courses enhance skills, mindsets and personality training to make students ready for industry exposure.
    Degree courses
    These full time degree courses can be alternately called ‘Professional Courses’ as it speeds up the career building opportunities of students by providing an overall field exposure, on-job training through internships and personality development - all of this during the course itself. The course duration ranges between a One Year Diploma to 5 Years Integrated Learning. Career opportunities are maximum in this range, including those in Education, Hospitality, Management, Aviation, Tourism and Media Sciences. These courses also enable students to work as professionals in the field of public administration, geosciences, bioinformatics, and public sector undertakings. Such professional courses are offered by state level, central level and private institutions. Fees for these courses vary from institute to institute. While mostly professional courses are self financed, some courses allow students to avail stipends for internships and on job training opportunities. The announcement for these courses can be found in outdoor advertisements, daily local and national newspapers, institutional websites and social media advertisements.

    PHARMACY

    Pharmacy is one of the popular field among the students. Education in pharmacy varies from one country to another. In India, the academic courses in the field of pharmacy starts from diploma level to doctoral level.

    DIPLOMA COURSES: (Through JEXPO or VOCLET Exam Direct Admission in Second Year)
    1. Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) – 2.5 years
    UNDERGRADUATE COURSES: (Through WBJEE Exam)
    1. Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) – 4 years, Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) Lateral Entry – 3 years, Pharm (Hons.) – 4 years, Bachelor of Pharmacy (Ayurveda) – 4 years
    POSTGRADUATE COURSES:
    1. Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) – 2 years, Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) – 3 years, Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) – 6 years
    For D.Pharm Course
    1. It is the diploma in pharmacy. The minimum qualification of 10+2 is required. It must be passed with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology subjects. For admission to this course, candidates must have completed 17 years of the year of admission.
    For B.Pharm Course
    1. It is the bachelor’s degree in pharmacy that can be taken after passing 12th/ intermediate examination. For this course, candidates must pass 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as a compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics / Computer Science / Biotechnology / Biology subjects and must obtained 50% marks in qualifying examination. Minimum 17 years of age and maximum 23 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
    For M.Pharm Course
    1. The successful completion of this course leads to the master’s degree in pharmacy. A pass in Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) programme with not less than 50% marks is required to be eligible for this course. For SC/ST, there is no minimum qualifying marks.
